Spawning Trials

Me: 35, Him 38.  married for 2 years.

We had a lot of trouble getting pregnant.  Given my history of an accidental pregnancy in the past, amidts a mid-life crisis, this was quite a shock.  Months upon months rolled by filled with BBT, TCOYF, herbs, supplements, tests, Clomid, and lots and lots of doctor visits.  At the age of 35 and with 11 months of unsuccessful TTC behind us, we were ready to take the next steps: 3 rounds of IUI with Clomid and then onto IVF.  Meanwhile, several more months go by filled with vigorously exercising to reactivate my “Tired” and “Stuck” ovaries.  I lost some weight and almost got down to what is deemed the perfect BMI for reproduction (~21).  We were just waiting for an insurance change to go through when…we got pregnant.  Yes, I am a cliché.  A totally natural cycle and it happened.  Side note:  I got pregnant again almost to the day 6 years after I unintentionally got pregnant.  Doctor says I may be what he calls a ‘seasonal’…aka: can only get pregnant one time a year.
