30 weeks Pregnant and tired.

Posted in Spawnology by Wildology on February 24, 2012

The hubs is in Colorado, AGAIN.  For work this time…no fun skiing.  So my posterity or (big posterior) picture had to be taken by my phone.  So, here I am….

Exactly 30 weeks pregnant.  Basically, the area from just below my arse to just above my bazumbas (my face is getting some now, though) has gained a solid 30 pounds.  30.  3. 0. POUNDS.  So much for my 25-35 gain only, given I have 10 weeks to go.

Honestly, though, until this week, I have felt good.  No heartburn or reflux (the key to this is NEVER EVER EVER drink fluids when you eat.  Eat or drink, not both, EVER!!!  In fact, leave plenty of time in-between, too.

Sleep comes and goes but I have a good pillow regime.  I still have nose bleeds and stuffiness all the time but saline spray is a life saver.  No stretch marks yet and I credit Bio-Oil instead of all the cream options.  I know they will get here eventually, but the longer they stay away the better.  I stay breathless, which is no longer bothersome.

This week has headed into exhaustion territory reminiscent of the first trimester.  I am bone tired all the time and some back/sciatic pain is starting.  My ankles (now cankles) have started swelling but good compression socks alleviate most of it.

The next 10-12 weeks will be interesting!

Good to know about the fluids during meals! You look great — I definitely wouldn’t worry about the weight. A lot of that is water retention, too, and that will slide right off after you give birth!

I am trying not to dwell on it. The midwives just laugh and say I am fine….if I was going to an OB, I am sure I would be lectured:)

      Yeah for water retention!!!
